High winds and heavy rain might well have battered Pembrokeshire in recent weeks, but the Blue Lagoon water park near Narberth is offering families and friends the chance to escape the winter blues with its latest After Dark adventures.
As the sun goes down the temperature rises, the water’s pumped up and the lights are dimmed this half term for more aqua adventures on Wednesdays to Saturdays between 20th February and 2nd March*.
“There’s nowhere else in Pembrokeshire like the Blue Lagoon and this half term we’re offering guests the chance to experience some great fun with the flumes flowing wildly and some great After Dark music and lighting,” said Yvonne Buckingham, Head of Marketing
“It’s a great chance for the kids and families to get out of the house this half term, as well as friends and visitors to experience some tropical temperatures in these winter months.”
Entrance is just £4.95 per person, making it a great holiday half term treat.
Local Author and Artist Launch New Children’s Book!
The first of four children’s books written by author Liam Hewer and illustrated by renowned artist Graham Brace has been launched in Pembrokeshire this week.
‘Set Sail Shelby Snail’ follows the adventures of Shelby, an adventurous little snail who sets sail on the high seas looking for adventure and fun.
Liam, who was brought up in Milford Haven and now lives in Narberth, said: “I was keen to create a series of stories featuring characters from a Pembrokeshire woodland. Shelby Snail is the first book to be released and will be followed by Buzby Bee, Lola the Ladybird and Huwie the Hedgehog.”
Graham, who was born and brought up in Milford Haven and is now a professional artist and illustrator living in Llangwm, added: “This has been a great project to work on in contrast to my usual landscape and seascape paintings and illustrations. I think we’ve brought Shelby’s character to life through the imagery and words which will immerse children into a hidden Pembrokeshire world.”
‘Set Sail Shelby Snail’ was launched at Victoria Bookshop in Haverfordwest on Saturday, 7th December and at Tenby Bookshop on Saturday, 14th December where Liam and Graham will be signing copies of the book between 11am and 2pm.
Do not worry if you can not make the book signing as we have copies for sale at the Adventure Centre reception or for further information please email email@example.com
